Battlefield Hardline releasing in March 2015

Battlefield Hardline has a new release date. The question is: will it stick?

Battlefield Hardline finally has a new release date of March 17, 2015 in North America and March 19, 2015 in Europe, Electronic Arts announced today.

The new release date comes just a few months after EA announced Visceral Games’ upcoming take on the Battlefield series was delayed to 2015. The delay was in response to feedback the developer received from its beta, which hopefully gave Visceral enough time to incorporate these changes.

Whether or not this new launch date sticks is yet to be seen. I just hope we don't have to wait until fall of 2015 in order to be able to play Battlefield Hardline.

Also that they are, you know, actually changing the game rather than just replacing assets.

It's a shame that EA/DICE can't or won't use brand-name vehicles in Hardline, despite having the licenses for use in the NFS series. Seeing the generic lookalike vehicles in the beta made the game feel very much like a third-party Battlefield mod.

        DICE Visceral, I suppose.

The horrible weapon models is what made it feel like a crappy mod to me.

Pretty much the whole beta looked and felt like a mod.

Completely agree. Doesn't feel like a full fledged product able to stand on its own legs. I would be interested in picking this up as a mod for BF4 at a low price ($20).

But as a stand alone game, costing $60...well fuck that

maybe that's why they took the extra 5 months on it

Do you think March of next year is long enough for everyone to have forgotten about Ferguson? This game seems like a PR disaster waiting to happen. Bad time to release a game that glorifies the militarization of US police forces.

Nah, all the cops and protesters will go home to play this game with each other online and forget about it.

I found the politics of the game to be a little sickening.

I was thinking about this today, and where I am, the furor has calmed down back to where it was before. It's sad, because there's still plenty of thug cops in the local and state police departments, and nowhere near enough oversight or disciplinary action to solve the actual problem.

Man, not only does this not look interesting in the slightest, but damn after the shitshow that was BF4 I am sure as hell not going to buy the next one.

Maybe after a few weeks of OMG ITS SO GOOD and 10/10 on metacritic I might consider it. Oh, and a price drop to recoup my losses with the last one.
