iOS owners are all abuzz with the launch of iOS 8 happening today. To celebrate today’s launch, Epic Games has released a new graphical demo app called “Epic Zen Garden.”

If you watched the Apple’s WWDC keynote, then you’re probably familiar with Epic Zen Garden. The app was created to show what’s possible within Unreal Engine 4 running on mobile devices and also the power of Apple’s new Metal API. Once you download it, you’ll be able to view vibrant, interactive scenes that are filled with a number of “peaceful activities.”

Navigation is performed with simple taps, while manipulating the scenery can be done with swipes. You’ll be able to make thousands of cherry blossoms swirl in the air, run your fingers across the surface of a koi pond and rake sand to create various subtle designs.

iPhone and iPad owners running iOS 8 should head on over to the App Store where you can download Epic Zen Garden for free. Just be sure you’re not operating heavy machinery while doing so as you might relax yourself right into a nap once you’re done.
