October 7 is right around the corner, which means Alien Isolation will soon be upon us. We reported on the game going gold, its expected PC specs and today, Sega has announced Survivor Mode for the upcoming game.

Survivor Mode will challenge players to a one-on-one battle with an alien within the Sevastopol Station. Each map will contain limited resources and will require players to take advantage of every item they find in order to complete a set of objectives that will help them to escape.

Alien Isolation will ship with a Survivor Mode demo that will feature the “Basement” map. On October 28, the first set of five Survivor Mode map packs will be available for purchase and will include three new maps, each with their own challenges and objectives to complete, a new playable character and variety of enemies that will try everything possible to stop you from escaping.

SEGA will be releasing additional Survivor Mode add-on packs over the following months, which can be purchased all at once with the Alien Isolation Season Pass. The season pass will include all five add-on packs at up to a 25% discount with all content expected to be released by March 2015.
