QuakeCon tournaments up for $40,000 pool

QuakeCon is right around the corner, and today Bethesda announced its sponsored Quake Live tournaments. The tournament pool totals more than $40,000, which the company boasts is the largest purse in the history of the conference. Players will compete in three events.

Escape Dead Island takes a new survival horror approach

When someone talks about the Dead Island games, usually the first thing a player thinks is, "Oh, boy, I get to smack around a zombie with a crowbar!" However, Deep Silver will change this up a bit this fall with the release of Escape Dead Island, a game that will focus more on a genuine survival horror approach, rather than smacking the members of the undead into the middle of next Tuesday.

Forza Motorsport 5 invokes nostalgia with Hot Wheels Car Pack

There's a good chance that anyone that has ever played with toys as a child likely came across Hot Wheels. It's ubiquitous, practically synonymous with toy cars. Forza Motorsport 5 would like to honor this time-honored line of miniature favorites by releasing the new Hot Wheels Car Pack DLC.
