Soulcalibur: Lost Swords launched yesterday, but apparently is so broken that many are finding it unplayable. Bandai Namco is working on a solution, and says the technical issue has "delayed the launch" even as the game remains available in the PlayStation Store.
Joystiq reports the problem seems to stem from requiring an Internet connection, even though it's a single-player game. When players try to connect, it produces an error code and kicks players back to the title screen. Some players seem to be able to connect, but many are put out.
"There is currently a technical issue that has delayed the launch of the game and we have been working through this issue all through last night and today to expedite the launch of SoulCalibur: Lost Swords," Bandai Namco says on its Facebook page. "We have discovered that the issue requires a resolution across multiple parties and therefore our efforts to remedy the issue is taking longer than anticipated. Currently we are working feverishly with a key partner to implement a solution in the shortest amount of time possible."
