Major League Gaming app arrives on Xbox 360

Major League Gaming is releasing a new app on Xbox 360, bringing premium video content to Xbox Live Gold subscribers in the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Australia. The MLG app is also expected to bring its premium MLG.tv programming and tournament coverage to Xbox One later this year.

"At MLG, we are dedicated to delivering the best competitive gaming content to our fans around the globe via all of their touch points," said MLG co-founder and CEO Sundance DiGiovanni. "Our fans have been asking for an MLG experience for Xbox and we are excited to bring them the programming they want via Xbox Live."

MLG delivers coverage of various competitive multiplayer tournaments, including Starcraft 2, Hearthstone, and Dota 2. The Xbox 360 app will also broadcast this year's Call of Duty $1 Million Dollar Championship from March 28-30.

DiGiovanni also confirms that an MLG app for Xbox One is also in the pipeline. "We do plan to release an MLG app for Xbox One later this year," he added. "We have a lot of new programs, shows and competitions in the works and look forward to broadcasting them all through the app."
