Ever since Wario struck out on his own game style with Mega Micro Games, the character has been Nintendo's window to lightly parody happenings in the industry. Now that crowdfunding is all the rage, Nintendo has kicked off a promotion for Game & Wario taking a jab at the trend with the utterly juvenile (but character-appropriate) "Crowdfarter."
The site lets you offer "donations" in the form of tweets or Facebook likes. It's keeping a running tally of them, and converting that into "Coins." It promises bonuses like wallpapers, ringtones, and a new trailer for getting the Coin count up to the bajillions and kajillions. It will also be providing daily updates about games in the Game & Wario set.
