The Last of Us 2 & 3 domains registered by Sony
by Andrew Yoon, May 16, 2013 11:00am PDTPerhaps one of the most anticipated games of the year is The Last of Us, Naughty Dog's upcoming PS3 adventure. Although the story is apparently "self-contained," assuming the game sells gangbusters, it's likely to turn into a franchise.
SCEA's private web registrar has registered domain names for lastofus2.com and lastofus3.com, internet sleuth Superannuation points out in a new column on Kotaku.
Of course, it doesn't hurt to be prepared, even if these domain names go unused. But given that every game Naughty Dog has developed has turned into a franchise, it seems inevitable that sequels are bound to happen.
