QuakeCon 2013 announced for August 1-4 in Dallas
by John Keefer, Feb 26, 2013 9:30am PSTBethesda has officially announced QuakeCon 2013, with the massive bring-you-own-computer event returning to Dallas this year on August 1-4. Perhaps this will be the year when Doom 4 comes out of "Bethesda mode."
No details are available yet, other than a special room rate is available at the Hilton Anatole, where the convention has been held for the last several years.
Last year's event offered some interesting revelations, including the first look at a John Carmack's VR headset held together with hot glue and duct tape. Carmack was an early proponent of the Oculus Rift VR project.
