Earth Defense Force 2025 coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 next year
by Andrew Yoon, Dec 13, 2012 4:30pm PSTD3's giant insect franchise is coming back next year. Earth Defense Force 2025 is slated for release on PS3 and Xbox 360. Unlike 2011's Insect Armageddon, this follow-up is from Japanese developer Sandlot, creator of the original series. As typical for the franchise, you can expect "over-the-top action and massive city-leveling explosions." Man, property values must be really terrible in D3's apocalyptic vision of the future.
New to 2025 is a four-player multiplayer mode. In addition, this iteration promises to feature the most missions in the franchise so far. And of course, you can expect some really silly mech costumes (pictured above).
