Cod Blops 2 PC patch boosts FOV cap to 90
by Alice O'Connor, Nov 22, 2012 7:10am PSTIf you play Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on PC, there's a fair chance you've griped about not being able to set the field of view higher than 80 degrees. Good news! Treyarch has pushed out a PC patch which boosts that cap to 90, meaning it will feel less squeezed and weird on your monitor.
It's a pleasant surprise as Treyarch stated a few weeks ago that it would be capped at 80, citing a "technical limitation" rather than a design decision.
The patch hit yesterday, also bringing performance boosts for multicore CPUs, better dedicated server matchmaking and, er, an end to horses falling through the world and vanishing into the all-encompassing void.
It should download automatically through Steam. Why, you probably already have it!
