Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 live-action trailer is daft
by Alice O'Connor, Oct 29, 2012 7:30am PDTLive-action trailers are, of course, silly pieces of marketing intended even more than regular trailers to sell a perception and brand rather than an actual game. With that in mind, look, let's watch the new live-action trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, because it is just so weird and awkward and kind of unpleasant. But, on the bright side, you may recognise people in it from movies or YouTube.
The trailer is, of course, continuing the 'famous people do video game stuff' thread started with the original Black Ops and used for Modern Warfare 3 too. You may scoff and scorn and wish they'd release a half-hour gameplay walkthrough trailer, but this will undoubtedly capture imaginations and help Activision shift copies of the near-future FPS.
Cod Blops 2 will deploy to PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 13, hitting Wii U a week later when Nintendo's shiny new console launches. Come now, watch:
