XCOM: Enemy Unknown PC patch enables 1080p movies
by John Keefer, Oct 15, 2012 4:15pm PDTIf you were one of the unlucky ones that could only get those really cool XCOM: Enemy Unknown movies in 720p instead of 1080p, fear not, human, as a new patch makes 1080p movies the standard for PC. Oh, and nobody should have a bad hair day any more either.
The patch, which was released through Steam, fixes an issue that had forced some players to try to improvise by eliminating the 720p videos on their hard drives and renaming the 1080p movies files as the 720p ones. It also fixes the floating hair problem where hair could be seen on top of fog. The game also got some other tweaks, including multiplayer chat.
