The War Z pre-orders pack early access
by Alice O'Connor, Oct 04, 2012 6:45am PDTIf you're already sold on the idea of open-world multiplayer zombie survive 'em up The War Z, perhaps nudged along by our preview, you can pre-order it today to score early access starting later this month. Does the world need another zombie game? As much as it needs any other video game, really.
Developer Hammerpoint is offering three pre-order packages, starting at $19.50. That'll get a copy of the full game when it's finished, and beta access from October 31 for now. If you pay $29.99, you also get alpha access from October 15, plus $15 of in-game currency, 3 guests keys for a beta weekend, and a month of server hosting. Or, for $49.99, you get $30 of eCash and six months of hosting.
Those prices are going up to $29.99, $49.99, and $69.99 respectively on October 21, though.
Here's a peek at The War Z's player vs. player combat:
New game releases of May 20-26
Killzone: Mercenary shoots onto Vita on September 10
Trion Worlds hit with more layoffs, Defiance team impacted
Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault defending Vita next week
