Mists of Pandaria opens to invading World of Warcraft players
by John Keefer, Sep 25, 2012 7:30am PDTThe Horde and Alliance are at war again, and it finally spilled over to the panda lands very early this morning with the launch of Mists of Pandaria, the newest expansion for World of Warcraft. Many players have been playing non-stop since the servers clicked over to the new content at midnight PT.
Players could begin their journey with the new monk class, become part of the new Pandaren race, or start taking an existing character through the newly discovered isle of Pandaria, where the level cap has been raised to 90. Of course, even if you don't have the expansion, you can become a Panda now, or any other race from a previous expansion for that matter.
Personally, I've been pushing my hunter through the island, fighting off Horde at every turn early on, along with some of the islands nastier inhabitants, such as the monkey-like Hozen that tend to thrown bananas as well as spears. Expect a few diary entries on my travels through the new zones.
If you have kept yourself in the dark about the new big thing from the 800-pound gorilla MMO, then you may want to check out the opening cinematic.

I actually really like the new talent system. I picked up one of the vendor mounts that sells the item you need to reset talents/glyphs so that I would be able to do it on the fly. If I place where one talent would be better for me than the one i picked I can instantly swap. There isn't really a way to screw yourself now, and most of the new stuff gives you a new toy for whatever reason. It just lets you be more versitile instead of being locked into talents without a trip to town and a chunk of gold.
Sadly there are still some shitty talents, but one can only hope those will get taken care of at some point.
I haven't started a new guy yet, so I have no idea about the character creation thing now.
