Sniper Elite V2 gets new DLC, sale
by Steve Watts, Sep 21, 2012 4:30pm PDTSniper Elite V2 has been out for a while now, quietly biding its time. Then when you least expect it, a piece of downloadable content hits before you even hear the shot.
Today the Neudorf Outpost Pack has hit Steam. It adds a large open-environment mission to destroy a German fuel dump in the Harz mountains. You'll also get two weapons: the large-capacity M1 Carbine sniper rifle and the powerful Webley Mk VI revolver. It costs $4.99.
But what to do if you don't own the game? Luckily, Steam is selling both the game and the franchise pack for 50% off. The base game would cost you $24.99 on sale, but the franchise pack nets you the first game, two rifles, and the Kill Hitler mission for about two bucks more. If you're going to spring for it anyway, the choice seems pretty obvious.
