Nights Into Dreams and Sonic Adventure 2 dated

As part of its ever-ongoing process to mine out its back catalog and bask in the fading glow of former glories, Sega today announced that the HD-ified ports of Sonic Adventure 2 and Nights Into Dreams will launch in the first week of October. Sega also confirmed that Nights will include the promo game Christmas Nights.

Nights and Sonic Adventure 2 will hit PlayStation 3 on October 2, then leap onto Xbox 360 on October 5. The downloadable games cost $10 apiece. If you've played any of Sega's recent 'HD' revamps, you know what to expect from these two--higher resolutions, leaderboards, achievements, and the like.

Nights comes complete with the festive Christmas Nights released as a promo game in 1996 only in a bundle and on magazine cover discs. Shiny extras will be available for Sonic Adventure 2 with the expanded Battle Mode content from the Gamecube version, but you'll have to pay an extra $3.

There's no word yet on when these two will hit PC. Here's a look at the original Christmas Nights:
