Ubisoft launched the Ghost Recon Online open beta today at Gamescom, letting all and sundry try the free-to-play multiplayer FPS and judge whether the fun of shooting men outweighs the annoyance of microtransactions.
Head on over to the official site to sign up and download Ghost Recon Online. Though it asks for 5GB of drive space, the download (through a client) seems to be about 2GB.
