Maybe you don't trust us when we say that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale isn't exactly like Super Smash Bros. Maybe you need to find out for yourself how SuperBot's franchise mash-up fighter plays. Well, you'll be getting a chance to play the game soon. Sony has announced a public beta that will be available to "the entire PlayStation nation" later this fall.

The beta will include access to Kratos, Sweet Tooth, PaRappa the Rapper, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, and Fat Princess. (Sorry, it doesn't appear the full roster will be available.) The feedback received during the beta period will help SuperBot "craft the best online multiplayer fighting experience possible."

More information about the public beta will be available in the coming months, but "early access" will be given to PlayStation Plus members, according to the PlayStation.Blog.

A private beta is ongoing, and will "gradually expand" in the coming weeks. Check your inboxes, and definitely follow Seth Killian on Twitter if you want a chance at random code drops.
