PlanetSide 2 beta slightly delayed

Unforeseen circumstances have arisen, and it'll now be a few days late, to ensure it's all polished and shiny. No one wants a free-to-play MMOFPS caked in crud and filth, after all.
"Had planned for today or tomorrow but we have some stuff we need to make sure is awesome," SOE president John Smedley explained on Twitter. He added, "the team is working like crazy but we need to polish some stuff and test it before we let in a massive # of people."
The beta is now "likely" to start on Friday or Monday, Smedley said.
