Sony Online Entertainment files 'Reign of Fear' trademark
by Steve Watts, Jul 30, 2012 4:30pm PDTSony Online Entertainment has launched quite a number of online games in the past few years, and the company doesn't appear to be slowing down. A new trademark may just give us the name of its next online game: Reign of Fear.
Fusible caught the trademark, which has a description that carries all the usual properties of an MMORPG--"downloadable multiplayer," and "role playing." No further details were available, and as always a trademark application doesn't necessarily mean a project will ever come to fruition.
The title certainly sounds more intense and horror-based than the usual sci-fi and fantasy tropes of the genre, so maybe we'll see more variety injected into MMOs from Sony in the future.
