by John Keefer, Jul 15, 2012 8:30am PDTNot one to let old equipment go to waste, Blizzard made some old World of Warcraft server blades available for auction, and the response garnered hundreds of thousands of dollars for the company's charity of choice, St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
The auction was a rousing success, Blizzard said, collecting more than $330,000. Late last year, the company announced the auction, offering up old server blades that used to house World of Warcraft realms. The auction was held on eBay.
