Darksiders 2 will have a DLC season pass
by Andrew Yoon, Jun 21, 2012 3:30pm PDTRequisite for all big-budget games these days is DLC. However, THQ's upcoming action adventure title, Darksiders 2, promises to have enough to warrant a DLC Season Pass.
The Darksiders 2 Season Pass will let gamers pre-purchase all three planned add-ons for a discounted rate. All three expansions promise "significant new single player content," with the first being available roughly one month after the game ships. The second and third packs are planned to drop every month afterwards.
The first pack, Argul's Tomb, will be included with all pre-ordered copies of the game. The DLC will be offered in addition to any retailer-specific bonuses you may earn.
While the Season Pass will be available for anyone to purchase, shopTHQ is having a promo. Gamers that pre-order through THQ's official site will get the Season Pass for free, in addition to an exclusive Maker's Armor and Scythe set. The store is also offering free standard shipping, if you're okay with not having the game on day one. (The fastest shipping will cost $28.50, likely more than the cost of the Season Pass to begin with.)
