Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee HD getting full reboot
by Steve Watts, Jun 12, 2012 8:15am PDTOddworld: Abe's Oddysee is getting its own HD version, but fans will have to wait a little longer to play it. Developer Oddworld Inhabitants has announced that the game will get a full reboot rather than just some HD visuals, and as a result won't be out until next summer.
The developer announced the plans on its Facebook page (via GameInformer). It stresses that this will be a new game, to be shown off later this year. It later clarified that while this project is starting "from scratch," it's using the original game as a blueprint.
If you simply can't wait for more Oddworld, plenty more is on the way. Both the Vita version of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD are targeting June releases.
