Wii U to support two GamePads
by Andrew Yoon, Jun 05, 2012 9:18am PDTOne of the most requested features for the Wii U since its reveal last year was the ability to use more than one GamePad. Previously, Nintendo had planned support for just one tablet controller. Additional players would be able to join by using Wii Remotes and other input devices. However, at E3 2012, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed that Wii U will support two GamePads--"just like the NES."
No games supporting multiple GamePads will be shown at E3 this year, but they are in development.
