Torchlight 2 beta invites going out for stress test
by Alice O'Connor, May 18, 2012 6:00am PDTIf you fancy having a gander at the Torchlight II beta, this weekend may bring your chance. Starting today, developer Runic is hosting a short stress test, and will be doling out heaps more invites. In light of what happened to that other clicking game when it launched, careful preparation is probably sensible.
"We'll be sending out many more beta codes," Runic said in a blog post, noting that you're "especially" likely to be invited this weekend. The stress test begins at 11am Pacific today then will run until 11am Pacific on Tuesday, so do sign up. Invites will be sent out in waves.
The beta test is "nearing its end," Runic says, so fingers crossed that you get in this time.
Torchlight II is due on PC some time this summer, with the Mac edition to follow. Pre-orders are open, and you can get four copies for the price of three if you group together with some pals.
