Civilization V: Gods & Kings coming June 19
by John Keefer, Apr 05, 2012 9:15am PDTWhen Civilization V dropped religion and espionage from the basic game, hardcore enthusiasts were upset that Firaxis had messed with one of the more successful aspects from the previous game. The new Gods & Kings expansion plans to remedy that on June 19.
2K Games has finally announced the expansion's release date for North America. The European release will come three days later. In addition to the returning game mechanics, there will be nine new civilizations--each with a new leader--and three new scenarios and nine new wonders.
I loved Civilization IV, but wasn't as fond of V. With religion and espionage making a comeback, it may be time to fire it up again.
