Ladies to get discounts in Prime World

The upcoming strategy-social MOBA Prime World will offer discounts and special abilities for women, in an effort to widen the player pool from the standard male demographic. Some abilities will only be accessible by women, when playing female characters.

To start, women will pay less than men for new characters, according to the PA Report. On top of that, playing a character that shares your real-life gender gives you a special talent, so an actual woman playing a female character would have a unique ability that no one else can offer. The title will connect to Facebook to check your gender, so if you really want to game the system (and get confused/mocking comments from your parents/friends), you could always switch roles.

"The idea is to introduce the MOBA genre not only to hardcore players who already love it, but to their friends who might be more casual, and of course to their sisters and girlfriends who may not be as hardcore," said creative producer Larisa Nuretdinova. "To do the very best, you'll want a female player on your team. You don't need to have male and female players on the same team to win, but it will certainly help."
