Kojima Productions' Project Ogre is still a bit mysterious, other than it running on the Fox Engine and dealing with heavy subject matter. One thing we can say, though, is that the game probably won't hit Wii U. Studio head Hideo Kojima recently commented that if he makes a Wii U game, it will be tailored to the device.
"Wii U is kind of a special case," Kojima said via translator at a press Q&A last week. "The way the player interacts with the device is very different than any other device out there. So if I were to make a game for the Wii U, it would have to be a unique game."
That's not to say that the Fox Engine itself is incompatible with the Wii U, though. Kojima was careful to couch his remarks by pointing out that his new game engine is flexible. "I don't want any misconceptions that [the Fox Engine] is specific to a certain hardware platform, because it's not," he said. "The way we envision it, it's more this platform that isn't mounted to a particular hardware."
