Assassin's Creed 3 trailer gives us a peek into the Revolution
by Andrew Yoon, Mar 05, 2012 9:15am PSTFinally, after days of rumors and leaks, Ubisoft has finally released the first video for Assassin's Creed 3. As previously reported, the game takes place during the American Revolution. You assume the role of a new assassin--"a Native American warrior" that "fights to protect his land and his people." In this debut trailer, you'll see the game's massive new environment, and how Ratohnhaké:ton (aka Connor) will use the trees and the wilderness to his advantage.
Ubisoft's official announcement claims Assassin's Creed 3 has been in development for over three years, with "twice the production capacity of any previous Ubisoft game." While Ubisoft Montreal is handling main development duties, "six other Ubisoft studios" have contributed to the project.
Assassin's Creed 3 will be available this October on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. In addition, Ubisoft has confirmed that a Wii U version is also in development. As mentioned by the video, pre-orders will grant players a free collectible steelbook.
