Soul Calibur coming to iOS for some reason
by Andrew Yoon, Jan 16, 2012 11:30am PSTThe soul still burns... every time we hear about a misguided port for iOS. Following the footsteps of Street Fighter, Namco Bandai has announced a touch-screen port of the original Soul Calibur for iOS devices.
Available later this month, the iOS port is based on the Dreamcast original, and will feature all 19 fighters and a plethora of modes: arcade, time attack, survival, extra survival, practice, and museum.
According to Andriasang, the game will be a Universal app supporting iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4, and iPad 2. As evidenced by the first screenshots, the game will take advantage of a virtual pad--typically not ideal for games that demand precision.
