Sony has confirmed its launch plans for the PlayStation Vita in America. There will be 25 games available on day 1, with software ranging from $9.99 to $49.99. Of course, this in addition to an extensive back catalog of games already available on PlayStation Network for PSP.

Available on launch day at retail will be Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational, Little Deviants, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and Wipeout 2048.

Also available on PlayStation Network is Escape Plan, Hustle Kings, and Super Stardust Delta. Other titles, like Gravity Rush, MLB 12 The Show, Reality Fighters, and Unit 13 are confirmed to the "launch window" for now.

Third parties will also have a presence at launch: Army Corps of Hell, Asphalt, Injection, Ben 10: Galactic Racing: BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, Dungeon Hunter Alliance, Dynasty Warriors Next, F1 2011, EA Sports FIFA Soccer, Lumines: Electronic Symphony, Michael Jackson: The Experience, Rayman Origins, Shinobido 2, Touch My Katamari, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour Edition will all be available at retail on day one. In addition, Plants vs Zombies and Tales of Space: Mutant Blobs will be available via PlayStation Network.

Thankfully, Sony has announced new price points for its proprietary Vita memory format. While still not competitive with other open formats, the new prices should be a lot easier to swallow. Everything appears to have received a $10 or $20 price cut from the previously leaked figures. The 4GB card will be available for $19.99, while a 32GB card will go for $99.99.

In addition, Sony will be offering a "Starter Kit" for $39.99, which includes a 4GB card, pouch, protective film, card case, headphones, and cleaning cloth. It's very similar to what was originally bundled with the PSP way back in 2005. You can peruse even more accessories on the PlayStation.Blog.

PlayStation Vita will be available on February 22nd in 3G and wi-fi only models. A "First Edition" bundle will be available one week earlier for $350.
