Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D adds FPS mode
by Steve Watts, Dec 19, 2011 6:15pm PSTMetal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will feature a first-person mode, according to a listing from a Japanese retailer. The re-release also reportedly touts an over-the-shoulder view and the ability to walk while crouching.
Siliconera reports that the news came from Japanese retailer GameStar. The skill was retrofitted for an MGS on another Nintendo platform, with the GameCube's Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. The change was criticized by some for making the game too easy, particularly ruining the Sniper Wolf battle.
Since the word is from a Japanese retailer, Shacknews has contacted Konami to confirm the information. The game is set for Q1 2012 in North America.
