Anarchy Reigns delayed to July to make game 'larger'
by Andrew Yoon, Dec 15, 2011 2:30pm PSTPlatinum Games' upcoming game, Anarchy Reigns, has been mysteriously delayed. The developer has been the center of attention for the past few days, ever since it was revealed that it was working on Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Anarchy Reigns, an online brawler that appears to be a spiritual successor to God Hand, was originally scheduled for release in January. It has now been delayed to July 3rd.
The press release announcing the delay almost went into our spam filter, because the subject declared the game will be "longer and larger" than ever before.
"Anarchy Reigns brings a new take to the brawler genre and we've decided to take a little more time to deliver the full knockout punch," Sega VP Gary Knight said in the announcement. "I can't reveal much now, but it's something to do with scale. Let's just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past..."
So, we can expect a larger online mode, we suppose? Anarchy Reigns will be available for PS3 and Xbox 360.
