Next time your flight gets delayed while you're stuck in Chicago O'Hare, make sure you have your Nintendo 3DS on hand. Nintendo and Boingo have announced an agreement that will enable 3DS owners to get free wi-fi at 42 North American airports that have internet access provided by Boingo.
Some participating airports include Chicago O’Hare, New York JFK and Houston George Bush Intercontinental. According to Nintendo, 3DS users "will be automatically connected for free to participating Boingo hotspots."
There are currently more than 28,000 free hotspots around the country for Nintendo 3DS users to use. Nintendo has already penned agreements with Best Buy, Simon Malls, and Westfield. Most importantly, AT&T is also a hotspot provider for the 3DS, meaning McDonald's and Starbucks locations with wi-fi should offer free play for 3DS owners as well.
