Zelda: Skyward Sword shows off Skyview Temple
by Steve Watts, Oct 07, 2011 9:30am PDTNintendo has released a veritable treasure trove of new details, screenshots, and trailers for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. This latest flood of information covers the Faron Woods, one of the first areas of the game. It leads to the first dungeon, Skyview Temple, which is also shown off.
Link will be able to dash and perform more acrobatic moves in this adventure, using up an endurance bar. Once it's fully depleted, he's significantly slower for a few seconds. You'll also be able to use the Goddess Sword for dowsing -- holding it out will provide feedback to point you toward your target. Among other things, he'll use this skill to search for fuzzy Kikwis creatures to help him track down Zelda.
For a closer look at the temple and dowsing ability, check out the latest screenshots and two new trailers below. In addition, the intro movie (via Siliconera) has been translated by a fan and uploaded to YouTube.
