Bethesda Softworks and Id Software have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Rage. In this clip, we get a look at some split-screen co-op gameplay. The Shrouded clan has come to Wellspring to destroy the town's water supply, and it's up to the players to restore peace by slaughtering every last one of them.
Seeing the game's co-op component in action is a good thing, and while there aren't really any mind-blowing revelations involved in the proceedings, there are a few points of interest. The footage shows some light non-shooting related co-operation and the use of a player-deployable turret. One particularly tough hombre toward the end also takes one of the players down, allowing the other player to illustrate the game's revival mechanic.
Rage comes out for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on October 4.

id's stance towards these games is minimal input from the gamer, less clutter in the user interface... with their typical standout level design and gameplay I think it's gonna be awesome.
I hope it's much less involved than Fallout. The world looks fleshed out but it won't be like Fallout's combat which was not fun at all.
