Silent Hill HD Collection also coming to 360
by Steve Watts, Aug 17, 2011 9:00am PDTThe Silent Hill HD Collection, previously announced as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, will be coming to Xbox 360 as well due to fan demand. The game is still due extremely soon, but the team is working hard to hit both platforms at once.
Joystiq reports that the announcement came from Silent Hill: Downpour producer Tomm Hulett during Konami's Gamescom 2011 press conference. In a video, Hulett said the fan response sparked the company to develop for both platforms, thus proving that complaining occasionally works. The developer is "aiming" for a simultaneous release on both platforms.
That release is approaching fast, though. The game is still officially slated for "September/October," giving them only a short time to complete both projects. We're betting they'll take advantage of the built-in breathing room and schedule the game for October. Perhaps late October, which just so happens to coincide with a spooky holiday. Imagine that.
The Silent Hill HD Collection includes remastered versions of both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3.
