Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D delayed to 2012

Konami has delayed Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D into 2012, without a specified reason or new launch window.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D has been pushed back to a nebulous point in 2012, reports Kotaku. No reason was given for the delay, and the wide release target of an entire year doesn't sound extremely promising.

In only the last few months, we've seen delays for Cave Story 3D, two Sega titles, and an outright cancelation from Capcom. The 3DS still has some games on the way, but third parties are making 2011 look increasingly sparse.

Shacknews has contacted Konami, and will update with any new information.

Wow the 3DS really needs this more titles like this atm. I don't know the specifics in sales but last I heard it wasn't that great. I really was excited to hear about this game though and it looks quite good but 2012 is a bummer....

Normally these announcements bug me, but this time, I think it was the right move. If what I heard from literally every gaming website is to be believed, then this definitely needs more time.
