Marvel Pinball sequel announced, original hitting more platforms
by Alice O'Connor, Jul 25, 2011 9:30am PDTSay, you like comic books, don't you? Then you're probably just the anachronistic sort who also digs pinball, and would adore a combination of the two. Good news! Zen Studios announced Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue during Comic-Con over the weekend, along with editions of the original Marvel Pinball for just about every downloadable platform under the sun, present and future.
Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue is a new game (rather than downloadable content for the original), and will bring four new pinball tables starring Marvel Comics characters. So far, only Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze, not Danny Ketch) has been confirmed.
V&V will be released via Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this winter. There's no word on the price yet, but the original Marvel Pinball cost $10.
Zen's also working on downloadable releases for the original on PC, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, iOS devices and Android. There's no firm word on when they'll be released, nor how much they will cost. All Zen and Marvel have to say is that they'll all be out "by the end of 2012," and that more details "will be revealed as we get closer to each launch."
