The latest dev diary for BioShock Infinite details Elizabeth's unique ability to manipulate "tears," what designer Ken Levine calls "windows into other worlds." These tears represent, essentially, other dimensions, and players can use Elizabeth's power to make progress through the game. In one gaemplay sequence, the video shows the player summoning a piece of cover to hide behind.
Because Elizabeth can only access one tear at a time, players can employ different strategies for every scenario. "Everybody's play experience is going to be different," Levine promises.
