Batman: Arkham City welcomes Tim Drake
by Xav de Matos, Jun 20, 2011 11:30pm PDTAfter having the details leak last week, Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that Robin will make an appearance as a playable character in Batman: Arkham City.
According to the press release, Tim Drake--the third person to take the Robin mantle in the Batman universe--will be exclusively available to North American gamers who pre-order Arkham City from Best Buy. Unlike the PS3-exclusive Joker maps from Batman: Arkham Asylum, Robin is playable on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
"Robin will come complete with his own unique gadgets and special moves, and will be playable in all challenge maps in the game, as well as two additional challenge maps that are included with the pack – Black Mask Hideout and Freight Train Escape," a press release revealed. "The pack will also contain a bonus Red Robin character skin."
The presser listed the mode as a "pack"; which could point to the content being available as premium downloadable content at a later date. Shacknews has contacted Warner Bros. for comment on the content's availability post-launch.
