Devil's Third coming in 2013, possibly on Wii U
by Steve Watts, Jun 14, 2011 8:15am PDTThough it was implied at a THQ earnings call last year, Valhalla Game Studios head Tomonobu Itagaki has confirmed that Devil's Third won't release until sometime in early 2013. An Impress Watch interview (via Andriasang) revealed the news, along with a few other bits of information.
The newly-announced Wii U might see its own release of Devil's Third, as the Ninja Gaiden creator said that he and THQ are looking into putting it on the system. He did state, however, that he won't be putting the game on Kinect, since it isn't built to be a hands-free game.
The game is reportedly finished mechanically, but needs more content to be a complete product. The multiplayer is in a playable state, though, and the team is working on making it support more players at a time. Multiplayer is its own mode, however, and the game won't feature co-op play. More multiplayer details are due at the Tokyo Game Show.
