BloodRayne returning on PSN and XBLA
by Steve Watts, Mar 31, 2011 11:00am PDTMajesco Entertainment announced BloodRayne: Betrayal today, a downloadable revival of the vampire action franchise. The game is being developed for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network by WayForward, which has recently revived cuter franchises with the Wii A Boy and His Blob and Shantae: Risky's Revenge.
The game takes a classic 2D side-scrolling approach, and follows Rayne attempting to stop "an evil vampire massacre." We assume that means a massacre performed by evil vampires, because massacring evil vampires doesn't seem like something you'd want to stop. Majesco is aiming to release the game this summer. If that seems too long to wait for blood-soaked action, you can check out the teaser trailer above.
