PlayStation Store update is Rush'n to the Moon
by Steve Watts, Mar 30, 2011 3:00pm PDTIt's that time once again for the PlayStation Store Update, which this week means a few new games with a noticeable old-school slant.
The side-scrolling action game Moon Diver ($14.99) is available if you're in the mood for a Strider-like slasher. If guns are more your retro speed, Rush'N Attack Ex-Patriot ($9.99) is up too. Chime Super Deluxe ($9.99) scratches the puzzle itch, and FreeRealms marks the first free-to-play MMO on PlayStation 3. You can also grab the full game Split/Second ($29.99).
Plus users get a full-game trial of Split/Second, along with a few free and discounted Minis and PSOne Classics, and some themes.
For everyone, Worms: Battle Islands and Top Darts are both 50% off. Permanent price changes include the PSP games Michael Jackson: The Experience, Ghost Recon: Predator, Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, Ys Seven, and Ys: The Oath in Felghana. Each is now $19.99.
Demos are up for echochrome ii, MAG, Chime Super Deluxe, and Moon Diver.
And if you'd rather just buy content for games you already have, this week's update includes a few packs for Shift 2 Unleashed, The Arrival DLC for Mass Effect 2, a Shadow Battle pack for Marvel vs Capcom 3, and a question pack for You Don't Know Jack.
PSP users can download full versions of The 3rd Birthday, Dragon's Lair, WWE All Stars, and The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.
