Amid all the Game Developers Conference announcements, the PlayStation Store update happened right on time -- a little earlier than usual, in fact. Pixeljunk Shooter 2 ($9.99) led the pack, along with a full game download for ModNation Racers ($29.99). PS1-era Square fans can rejoice with the arrival of Vagrant Story ($6.99).
The "Severed" add-on for Dead Space 2 is available ($6.99), along with the Shadow Battle add-on (free) for Marvel vs Capcom 3 and the game's first costume pack ($4.99). Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit also adds several Lamborghini packs ($2.99-$6.99).
Major League Baseball 2K11 and Top Spin 4 received the demo treatment, and a single-player demo for Call of Duty: Black Ops was added. Each is also available on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Finally, Plus subscribers got an early demo for PlayStation Move Heroes, a full game trial for ModNation Racers, and Sonic the Hedgehog early and free, as promised.
