The party at this week's Game Developers Conference started off with a bang today with Tecmo releasing the first trailer for Ryu Hayabusa's next blood-soaked adventure.

Ninja Gaiden 3 will be the first game to be in development at Team Ninja without Tomonobu Itagaki at the helm. The game was first revealed during a private Tokyo event in mid-September 2010.

Whether or not the game will be any different than we are used to is unclear as the teaser shows nothing in the way of gameplay. Actually, the only thing it really shows is buckets of blood and brutal violence, so it's exactly what we're used to from the series.

The teaser's tagline "Unmask E3 2011" indicates the game will be fully revealed during the industry's biggest show later this year. Make no mistake, Shacknews will be there.

Xav de Matos was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

With Itagaki gone, it's not gonna 0wn. Expect more stuff like Metroid: Other M.

What you really want to play is Devil's Third.

i look forward to a good combat system, uneven bosses, and a terribly juvenile story with ridiculously large-breasted female protagonists.

I;m fine with the same type of gameplay/combat as the first two, but I won't touch it if they haven't fixed the damn camera. I never finished the second one because of how frustrated I was with the camera.

I love Ninja Gaiden, been playing it since the NES days...but if the FPS is as atrocious as it was late into NG 2 I'm going to have to pass. Ninja Gaiden/Ninja Gaiden Black is in my top 5 games of all time. I hope this one matches up, or at least gets close.
