Magicka DLC Plans Revealed as Sales Pass 200,000
by Alice O'Connor, Feb 14, 2011 9:45am PSTHaving sold 30,000 copies within the first 24 hours after launching on PC, Arrowhead's $10 co-op action-RPG Magicka went on to sell over 200,000 within the first 17 days.
The revelation came in an interview with producer Mattias Lilja of publisher Paradox Interactive at Big Download. He also revealed that multiple pieces of downloadable content, both paid and free, are in the works.
"The Arrowhead team asked if they could be a bit daring when it comes to the DLC and we told them yes," Lilja explained. "They really did go off the reservation with some stuff, and I bet my Wizard's survival kit most gamers will love it. The team is set up in such a way that some guys can keep patching the game while others produce DLC, without getting in the way of each other or stealing resources from one another."
Magicka has receive a whopping ten big patches since it was released for PC on January 25, having been a wee bit buggy at launch.

Also DLC that gives gamers an advantage as some I have seen is also bs imo as well.
Are far as Magicka is concerned I'm still waiting on the bugs to be fixed as well before I give it a shake. I'm glad it's sold well and I hope they continue to do well. Kudos to them for offering both free & paid dlc .
