We know when Duke Nukem Forever is coming and what's in the $100 Balls of Steel Edition, so what comes next is surely a better peek at the game in motion. Publisher 2K has kindly produced a few snippets of gameplay today, wrapped up in an interview with Steve Gibson, marketing VP at Gearbox and founder of something called 'Shacknews.'

This Gibson chap here talks about Gearbox taking over the game, messing around in the environment, and just plain having fun. Apparently this "fun" thing is quite good.

Duke Nukem Forever is probably, almost definitely coming out on May 3, hitting PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. For more Duke, check out Garnett's recent hands-on preview.

Whoever is doing the marketing for this is pretty damn smart. It's a smart move putting The Gibson out there. Someone that we all know is a real gamer talking about the game is good. I'm buying this anyways but a video like this gets my respect.

For "general public" they used Randy Pitchford instead:

I was wondering about that, is that the same Steve Gibson who posted news here?

The very same. Maarten Goldstein also works at Gearbox now.

How many times can we beat this dead horse? Production priorities can change as features get locked down and you have to take anything so far out from completion with a grain of salt.

Oh forget it, here's a hemorrhoid ring for your severe case of butt hurt.

Next you'll say something crazy like publishers are the ones who determine when games are released on the various platforms. Hell, you might even suggest they pick which platforms are published! Preposterous!

lol you can think that all you want. The shit he was talking about is fundamental stuff that you don't just drop. Besides when he posted his bullshit the game was done.

It has nothing to do with the game and everything to do with the company. I won't be buying this for the same reason I don't buy shit like Modern Warfare and Guitar Hero.

I really hope DNF is good because the Duke deserves it, Gearbox on the other hand, they can eat a bag of dicks.

You won't be buying DNF because it's just an annual rehash of an overexposed IP?

I've smart-mouthed Gearbox once or twice at the Shack, but: the fact remains that not only did I buy Borderlands for PC, along with all its DLC, but I greatly enjoyed it; Gearbox is a rare confluence of old hands and fresh enthusiastic talent. I still own my original HL Plat Pack, loved Borderlands dearly, and I Pre-Ordered the DNF limited edition.

I've got Balls of Steel--you've got shrivelled balls of rage.

Is yours going to be in the bag too? It seems like you must have already cut if off with all that whiney bitch posting you are doing.

Thanks to Steve, you have such a nice website to post your "insightful" posts on.
