Return to the Mountain in SSX: Deadly Descents

Soon after a second, thrilling list of possible video game-based adult films during the 2010 Spike VGAs--seriously, this is painful--the highly rumored return of SSX was made official.

SSX: Deadly Descents will give players the ability to snowboard down snow-capped mountains around the world, while battling the harsh elements. Platforms were not revealed; however, we're hoping this will bring SSX to the Xbox 360 and PS3. SSX was last seen on the Wii in 2007.

I'm willing to give EA some leeway on this, before I freak the fuck out.

Between Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, NFS Shift and Hot Pursuit, hell even Army of Two, most of their new IPs and IP reboots have been pretty damn good this generation.

So I'll wait for actual gameplay to see if the spirit of the original SSX games has been completely lost.

Maybe that is just some silly single player experience and the rest of the game offers varyious MP modes and options with the ability to have sweet music and bright colours like the old version

Rather strange there was a military feel to that trailer. The wing suit bit at the end is a neat touch though, that mixed with snow boarding could be a lot of fun. Gameplay now please.

Well, that return to its "roots" didn't last very long. This looks like every other realistic action game except that you have a snowboard.
